So too can Ai Chatbots infer the meaning behind your words, so you don't need to know fancy jargon, conduct extensive searching, or navigate complex websites. Alright, let's break down the tech jargon and get to the nuts and bolts of how AI chatbots like ChatGPT work. Imagine we're making a cake, but instead of flour and sugar, our ingredients are data and algorithms.

The Ingredients (The Data): Just like how the right mix of ingredients creates a delicious cake, the right data helps the chatbot understand and generate human-like text. In order to teach ChatGPT how to talk, the folks at OpenAI fed it a buffet of text data from books, websites, and probably a few old grocery lists. The exact number is not publicly disclosed, but some theorize it adds up to around 1.5 trillion words.
Mixing the Ingredients (Training): Now they mix their ingredients. This is called training. They feed the algorithm the data and it starts to recognize patterns, such as how certain words follow others or how sentences are structured. It's a little like a baby learning to talk.

Just like signing up for an email account or an online store, you'll need to create an account to log in. Follow these easy-peasy steps:
Open Your Web Browser: This could be Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or any other browser you prefer.
Go to the Website: https://chat.openai.com/
Create an Account or Log In: Follow the instructions on the screen to create a new account or log into an existing one. You'll need a working email address, a phone number to verify, and a new password...
How Do I Use ChatGPT?
Once you're logged in, and you agree to the terms and conditions, you'll see a chatbox.
Type your questions, prompts, or anything else you'd like to say into the chatbox, then hit 'Enter'.
Voila! ChatGPT will generate a response and the conversation can flow from there.
Is ChatGPT Connected to the Internet?
Short answer: No.
If you ask it, "What's the weather like today?" it's not going to know because it doesn't have internet access for basic users (though it does for premium users).
All of its available data is from Sept. 2021. So keep that in mind if you are looking for information about current trends.
The Downside?
ChatGPT may not be human, but it is imperfect just like humans. First of all, the data it uses to source your answers could be incorrect or misleading. Secondly, it has a tendency to be confidently wrong about things that it states factually. This has been coined a "hallucination". If you are asking it about information pertaining to important subjects such as medical information or the existence of extraterrestrial life, you may want to double-check its answer.
